Labor Day Picnic

This morning, we decided to go on an afternoon picnic at Willow Park in Logan to celebrate Labor Day. We hadn't been to this park before and we weren't disappointed! I was very impressed with the wide variety of playground equipment and the huge park gave us plenty of space, even though there were lots of people there. We ate our picnic lunch of sandwiches, fruit (Gordon's newest word: "grape"), chips and cookies, then the boys had a great time chasing the bubbles Chris blew. After that, it was on to the playground. Tom and Gordon loved the merry-go-round and the teeter-totter, and Chris and I even tried out this funky red chair that spins when you sit in it. It doesn't look like much, but it really is fun-- and I found it difficult to stand up when I got out! Chris had to work this afternoon, so we weren't able to stay too long. A picnic at the park was the perfect way to spend our last day of summer!

Here's Tom when we said "Okay, it's time to go!" You can tell by his face how happy he was about that! Posted by Picasa
