Our Day o' Love

We had a lovely little Valentine's Day, starting with sweet little heart-shaped pancakes, made by yours truly. The funniest thing about these pancakes is that after I went through all of the trouble to make them, the little recipients of my gift simply said, "cut them, Mom."

This little charmer had a special lunch at school, so in addition to the Valentine's Day party, he also got to dress up and eat with the principal in the "library restaurant". Tom got so many Valentine cards (his were the cutest) and way too much candy. He had such a fun day!

And my little present was a new phone-- and look, it's pink!

Chris had to work on Valentine's Day, so we celebrated this weekend by going out with our good friends, Sean and Karin Hunt. We ate a delicious dinner at Hamilton's Steakhouse, then went to the movies. Ah, a night without the kiddies-- now that's a memorable event. Why did I not take pictures?!?

Sounds like a lovefest! The pancakes and the cookies all look delicious. Our cookies didn't last too long, either.

One of my favorite pictures is the one of Thomas all dressed up. That looks like a morning face--so cute!

Love the phone. All they had was black when I got mine. Thomas looks so handsome all dressed up. I don't know about you, though, but I sure get nervous when I have to send my kids somewhere in nice clothes without my constant supervision and wipes.
What a fun weekend. It's always nice to get away from the kids.

What a fun day!

I -- on the other hand-- would have refused to cut your pancakes and had eaten them whole, but that's kids for you. ;)

They really did appriciate it, promise!
