Elise in New York City!

This week I was in Newark, NJ for a team meeting with the Dairy Division at MFFB. We spent our days in meetings and touring the new Beriyo (new smoothie/TCBY frozen yogurt concept) stores in New Providence and Montclair, NJ. While we were on our store tours, I drove the van and now have a new perspective on life in New Jersey. Some of the areas were very nice, others... well, let's just say that all of those late night jokes you hear are probably in reference to downtown Newark! YIKES!!

On our last night together, we rented a limousine and went into Manhattan!

The Dairy Development Team: Sondra Cornia from Salt Lake City, Keith Bakker from Vashon Island, WA, Me, Les Bimson from Charlotte, NC, Eric Moody from Salt Lake City, Ron Ansett (the resident Scot!) from Toronto, ON, Mitch Mitchell from Coronado, CA, and John Cooper from Brandon, MS.

The gang getting settled in our lovely white limo for a night on the town.

Even in the middle of a bustling city, Ground Zero has an incredible calm and quiet surrounding the rubble. We stopped here first and the entire team was touched by the experience. Being here really gave me a sense of awe and humility that I had not felt just seeing pictures.

It was great fun being able to see the city from inside the limo. We passed several really beautiful buildings and churches, central park and Park Avenue, and, of course, lots of interesting people!

I didn't know you were in New York! Looks like you were able to get some fun in while you worked...you did work, right? So jealous.
