A DECADE of US!

I can hardly believe it-- today is our tenth anniversary! TEN! That's double digits, people!!

I can remember ten years ago, when I woke up in my parents' house, young and excited, and drove with them to meet Chris and his family at the Idaho Falls Temple. We borrowed Chris's mom's car for our honeymoon, and moved to Salt Lake City, a place I had never lived before. This morning, I woke up in our house, in the bed we purchased together when I was pregnant with Gordon, and drove our car to drop our son off at school here in Logan, the town where we moved together. While I was reminiscing about our past ten years, I couldn't help but realize how much "my" life has become "ours". Every precious memory is one we've made together. It's kind of odd to say this, but even the hard things we've gone through have been easier to handle because we've relied on each other to get us through.

On our wedding day, the man who married us gave us six little phrases to remember-- the last one was "We." I thought it was kind of funny, thinking on that day that the most important phrase was "I love you," but now that I think back on all of these years, I realize that "we" really was the most significant. I love that we have built this life together, and that when I imagine all of the many years to come, all I can think of is "we".

Happy Anniversary to my hunsty, my favorite person in the universe! "I love you" doesn't even begin to express!

Whoa! That decade mark sure is sneaky. That just blows me away, I mean, I was still in Tahiti ten years ago. Major congratulations to you guys. My grandparents just hit 57 years yesterday and I know you'll beat that. I hope Kar and I can be there too. All our love. We really miss having you close-by!

Andy, Tyler and I just watched this together. What a fun trip down memory lane. Ten years ago I drove to Salt Lake from BYU with Marc Crosby and Lisa Barnes to go to your reception. I think I mostly was excited for an excuse to see Chris's cute brother Andy!

Congratulations! I loved the slideshow! I was confused when I saw pictures of you with short hair because I never knew you had short hair back then! I love you and Chris together and hope your next ten years are just as great!

I loved the slide show- cool idea. I was amazed that you could have that many photos of you and Chris (I have to force my husband to be in a picture!) It was fun seeing your styles, hair lengths etc. change and evolve. Loved it.

Congrats you two. I also remember very vividly 10 years ago. I was afraid I would never see Chris again, but to your dismay you found out that wouldn't be so. You two are great together. By the way, I hope that Thomas doesn't some day try and convince you that the sealer really meant Wii.
