Gordon took a 10 minute nap on the way home from Tom's school today, so it has been a tear-your-hair-out kind of day with him. Tom seems to follow Gord's attitude, and the two of them have been tormenting each other (and me!) all evening. It's finally late enough to put them in bed and I am exhausted. So, in addition to contemplating making a batch of brownies, I'm planning to spend the rest of my evening in front of the tube. Since that's where I'll be, I thought I'd share some TV stuff with you. :)
I think when you are in high school, Saturday Night Live is the best show on TV. I remember nights staying up late to watch Mike Myers and Dana Carvey and thinking that nothing in the world could possibly be funnier than Tunces the Driving Cat. Then it seemed like SNL got really stupid and lame, and then all of the sudden, it's funny again. I am loving the cast right now, but what I love even more is watching it with Chris, who sometimes laughs so hard that he has to stand up in order to breathe. I love it. Some of the skits aren't that funny, but we haven't been disappointed with the "Digital Shorts". Here's the one that had Chris standing up, holding his stomach on Saturday night:

i am so glad that you are watching american idol. just hang in there. and the snl video gave me the creeps. i so did not get it. sorry chris.
and i couldn't agree more on the pants some of those girls were sporting tonight. although, i must admit there was a denim get-up i used to wear in junior high that had the high waist...and i kindof liked it. but, never again...i promise.
i hope you are actually enjoying your browines in front of the tube because i am sitting in bed with my laptop and a bowl of icecream and it would make it all the more sweeter to know that i wasn't the only one packing in the calories before bed. love ya!
Jon and I couldn't stop laughing after that short either. It's the best one I've seen. Did you ever see the one where the guy didn't stop talking?
The good writing isn't back till April 3rd, so I'm still on a TV strike. Glad to know that someone is enjoying the beloved tube.
I'm with ya on the pants thing. I do believe I heard or saw or read somewhere (you know how that is) that the high-waist is back in style but it's baggy, baggy legs that are on the runways. Yay! I hate tight pants! You are watch AI because, like me, you are hoping and praying that another girl doesn't win this year. Go David A. and David C.!!
That video is soooo funny!! I loved it - especially funny for "Juno" lovers.
ew. High waisted pants. What's next?
Mmmmmm...brownies, I'm coming over! Chris's family must share their senses of humor, but I did laugh imagining Chris laugh at that stupid thing. And YUCKY pants, I REFUSE!!!!! No way, no how!
let's hang out Saturday...let me just make sure with the husband that we don't already have plans, then I will let you know.
I loved SNL the other night. I LOVE Ellen Page and Juno is probably the best movie of the year! I know a lot of people will argue that with me but anywho...
American Idol is just my thing. I haven't missed hardly any of it of all 5,000 seasons! Actually since I had an altered identity last season I did miss most of that. I was in Vegas this week and missed the high pants. It does make me want to puke though! Every store I went into on my visit to Vegas had pants just like that. Yucky!
There must be something to that video that I am just not getting. Where, exactly, is the funny part? And yes, i've seen Juno, the video has nothing to do with it. Oh well.
I checked your blog a week ago and watched this. Creepy, Boogs.
