On Tuesday, December 30th, Chris's paternal grandmother, Peggy Pauline Ford Hansen, passed away. In the few times I met Grandma Peggy, I was touched by her sweetness and kind words for both me and my little boys. I didn't know her well, but I appreciate the positive impact she had on my husband's life and the lives of his family.
Marilyn gave a beautiful tribute here.
We were able to attend Peggy's funeral services on Saturday. It was a sweet experience to meet up with family members we hadn't seen in a long time and to remember Peggy's life. Heidi and Emily were both able to fly in and we really loved being able to see them, if even for a short time.

Ahhh . . . I'm sorry/happy for your family. Funerals of grandparents are so bitterweet. I don't want to go to any for a long time, though.
Chris andf Elise,
It was so good to see you at Mom's funeral. Elise, I'm sorry to say I haven't had much of a chance to get to know you. I hope we get a second chance to get better acquainted. You and Chris have such a beautiful family. I've always loved Christian - he has a very special place in my heart.
Love you both,
Nancy
